Million Deeds Challenge

Before the Youth Olympic Flame begins its journey, everyone is invited to take part in the Million Deeds Challenge (www.millliondeeds.sg) and share their deeds of Excellence, Friendship and Respect with others around the world.

Designed to resemble a virtual Torch Relay, every deed shared on the website will move the virtual Youth Olympic Flame a step closer from Greece to Singapore. The progressive advancement of the virtual Flame towards Singapore reflects the positive impact that each participant of the Million Deeds Challenge has made towards their community and the world.

The Million Deeds Challenge is about doing every day things with a great spirit. Everyone can make a difference to someone’s life or the community we live in through our deeds of Excellence, Friendship or Respect, regardless big or small.

For examples:

Excellence –
"I stayed behind after school hours to practise my sport."

Friendship –
"I provided a listening ear to my colleague when she faced some problems at work and just needed someone to talk to"

Respect –
"I made sure I clear all the litter after a picnic in the park so that others can enjoy clean park facilities"
Collectively, through the Million Deeds Challenge, we can be the change that we want the world to be.
